FWS’ exploration geologists have considerable practical experience in the design, contract management and supervision of coal, metalliferous and agro-mineral exploration programmes, from grassroots through to resource development.

 

We advise clients with existing programmes and provide field training in all aspects of mapping, sampling and QAQC protocols. All work conducted by FWS is in accordance with the principles of international reporting codes (e.g. JORC 2012, NI 43-101 etc.) to facilitate the reporting of exploration results.

Our Mineral Exploration Sevices include:

 

  • Design of exploration drilling programmes, seismic surveys and other geochemical and geophysical surveys, including the preparation of contract documents, specifications and tendering of exploration drilling and testing services;

 

  • Interpretation of multiple datasets including geology, remote sensing, geochemistry and geophysics to generate and prioritise exploration targets;

 

  • Providing geological supervision and logging services for drilling programmes including directional drilling (for example in-seam CBM wells);

 

  • Geological, alteration and structural mapping and interpretation of regional and local controls on mineralisation;

 

  • Processing and interpretation of remotely sensed data including satellite imagery, spectral data and geophysical surveys;

 

  • Coordinating, scheduling, data management and QAQC of laboratory assay and geotechnical testing.
